The only way out is to get your kids to sleep early. Start pushing sleep time earlier by 10 or 15 minutes each week until you reach your target sleep time. My kid is 3.5 yrs old and I allow playtime upto 8.30pm. By then I'll start asking him to clean up toys, brush teeth, wash face, change into pajamas, do award chart, pray, story time, kiss goodnite and sleep. By 9pm I must have closed all curtain, turned off the light and shut the door behind me. No excuse for staying up after that. Be consistent and firm. My kid usually wakes up by himself at around 7.45am/8am. |
