Did you try to give him some "incentive", e.g., a sticker of his choice if finish within 45 minutes? and if he accumulate to have 10 stickers you can give me a toy / watch TV for 15 minutes / other form of "gift"? But you need to be really "hard working", i mean, you need to really make a "chart" and make it clear to both him and to you that how many stickers he has earned and how many he still need in order to "earn" that "prize"作者: anitachan 時間: 2010-3-10 11:08
My daughter is already 6 but also has the same problem, and both the incentive method or take away the food method have been used, still no use. I am looking forward for the improvement when she is in P.1 as many people say that this will improve when they are in primary.
BTW, she did tell me before the reason why she keep the rice in her mouth (含飯) is because it tastes good. And she did eat faster when she takes noodles instead of rice especially when she is after the swimming class.
FYI, her record is 3 hours to finish a meal, but the fastest one is 20 mins.
