My daughter is 2 years old. She had spat saliva for several times. I punished her by hitting her palm. But again & again, she spat it .
Anybody can give me some idea to stop her ? Tks.

maybe she's trying to get your attention. Did you try to give her a tissue when she "spits" (this is to make her feel that you also believe she "needs" to spit)? Or ask her to replace this act by doing something else (e.g. you spit means that you have something unpleasant in your mouth, maybe you should open your mouth wide to let mummy see what's inside so that we can help you, instead of spitting it out).作者: bian 時間: 2010-3-26 23:47
She is a normal kid as she may try to use her lips, mouth and tongue for practicing how to talk. It's no need for you to stop her if this is her internal need. She will get rid of this habit later.作者: ethanson 時間: 2010-3-29 09:05
you can tell her such behavior makes her ugly dirty. once she does, you can show an ugly facial expression and say "oh you are so ugly / dirty, mama doesnt like this". remember never laugh at her when she spits, because she may thought it is funny which can make you laugh. praise her when she didnt do so.作者: sidneywong 時間: 2010-3-30 14:50
